KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Employees at the Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center were evacuated after a gallon of formaldehyde spilled inside the building on Wednesday afternoon.

There were 30 employees in the center at the time, and some had to stay inside to finish medical procedures.

Six of the employees were transported to an area hospital for a check-up.
