KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol caught a driver ignoring flood barriers on camera in Rocheport, Missouri.
It happened at U.S. 40 and Rocheport Gravel Rd. in Boone County on May 26.
A tweet from the MSHP shows dash cam footage of a car flying past the Sergeant posted near the barrier and ending up in the water.

Sgt. Ballard waded out to the car & helped the driver to safety.

The tweet said the sergeant waded into the water to help the driver.
MSHP advises drivers to be alert and knowledgeable of conditions in the area.
