KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri Lt. Governor Michael Parson visited The Roasterie in Kansas City to encourage people to support local businesses.
The visit to Kansas City was part of Lt. Gov. Parson's "BuyMo" tour. The multi-day tour will profile local businesses in the state.
"When you go into a store, we want you to think: 'How can we support Missouri?'" said Parson.
While at The Roasterie, Parson said his mission is to help people recognize, promote and strengthen local businesses.
"That is simply a duty for all of us to do, to help one another. It’s not a government program, it does not cost anything. It is a matter of making the public aware that these products are there, and if you choose to buy, choose a Missouri product," he said.
