TAMPA, Fl. — Trudy Cooper is a Missouri farm girl, turned Florida restaurant owner.
“I am from a farm in Northeast Missouri. I was raised on a cattle, pig, chickens, the whole deal, a real farm and just had a wonderful childhood. All of my relatives lived in Kansas City so that was the big town,” Cooper told 41 Action News.
After years of success in the restaurant business, Cooper wanted to do something different.
"At On Swann we try to kind of step out there just a little bit with our food to kind of be the scene and I think we’ve done that with our food and our drinks," Cooper said.
Cooper's restaurant is swimming with people in town for Super Bowl LV. Despite her Kansas City roots, she’s rooting for the Buccaneers.
41 Action News wanted to know how the family is handling Super Bowl week.
“It’s a lot of fun! I have Chiefs fans at home in Kansas City and they are so obsessed with the entire gig," Cooper shared. "This, I think, really does allow us to kind of focus on something that’s exciting and fun and to see that energy and just see how people do come together."
Even if she’s rooting for the wrong team.
