KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One Missouri Senator is pushing to eliminate personal property taxes in the state.
Sen. Bill Eigel (R-St. Charles) is behind the push.
He filed the resolution to be considered when lawmakers return Jan. 8.
Eigel posted the resolution on his Facebook page, saying "you pay a tax on your vehicle when you buy it, so taxing it every December is not reasonable."
If the bill passes both chambers, voters will decide the fate of the proposal.
