KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Missouri Department of Transportation employee was taken to the hospital after a semi slammed into the back of their buffer truck Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at Interstate 29 and Interstate 435 in Platte County, according to MoDOT.

Photos tweeted by MoDOT show the impact of the collision.
The MoDOT employee sustained minor back injuries. The driver of the semi was also taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown.
