About 20 years ago, Bruce Breslow and the gang were making board games but could never find enough marbles for the players.
They didn’t want just any old marbles.
They wanted Cat’s Eyes, Bumble Bees, Cub Scouts and Puries…you know, like when some of us were kids.
What to do? Make them yourself.
That’s when they took off for the moon, the Moon Marble Company.
Bruce still makes many of the marbles himself and gives demonstrations that fill the bleachers in the workshop.
It’s a hot job that requires a steady hand and a good sense of humor.
You could say they’re a little crazy about marbles around there.
But, collectors and artisans will come together from around the country to compare technique and “ooh” and “aah” over the creations at the 17th Annual Marble Crazy event, March 3-5.
In a word they use around the company: It’s Marble-ous!
