KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist died in an early morning crash Saturday in the West Bottoms area of Kansas City, Missouri.
Police said that shortly before 2 a.m., a silver Ducati motorcycle was traveling near American Royal Drive and Avenida Cesar Chavez.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle and struck the concrete guardrail.
He was thrown off the motorcycle and struck a metal Missouri Department of Transportation lane closure sign.
The driver, whose identity had yet to be released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was a motorcycle helmet at the scene, located on the ground below the bridge.
