SHAWNEE, Kan. – UPDATE 9:20 PM 4/12/2018: The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist who died in a wreck on I-435 Thursday as Donald Attebery of Shawnee.
PREVIOUS:
A busy ramp was closed for a period of time Thursday afternoon while police investigated a deadly motorcycle wreck.
Authorities were dispatched to the ramp from northbound Interstate 435 to eastbound Shawnee Mission Parkway around 3:30 p.m. on a motorcycle wreck.
When paramedics and police arrived, they located a motorcycle more than 100 feet off the ramp in a grassy median.
The driver was located and pronounced dead on the scene.
The ramp remain closed during the early part of rush hour.
