KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in a chase stemming from a carjacking earlier Tuesday morning.

Around 8:30 a.m., Kansas City police were called to the intersection of Westport Road and Pennsylvania Avenue in Westport on an armed robbery/carjacking.

Initial reports indicate at least one suspect carjacked a Ford F-550 work truck with a trailer. A victim required medical attention as a result of the carjacking.

Police were able to track the stolen work truck as it entered Kansas, which is where Overland Park police initiated a pursuit.

As of 9:30 a.m., the pursuit continued southbound on U.S. 69 Highway in Miami County, Kansas.
