KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for the entire Kansas City region from noon on Saturday until Wednesday at 10 p.m.

During this time, people can expect dangerous heat, with indexes reaching between 100 to 110 degrees, according to the KSHB 41 weather team.

People are advised to drink lots of fluids and take frequents breaks if spending lots of time outside.
