KANSAS CITY, Mo. — No injuries were reported in a house fire in the 3400 block of Chestnut Avenue Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 10:00 a.m.
Crews reported heavy flames and smoke showing from the two-story home on arrival.
The fire also caused flames to jump to the neighboring home, but crews quickly extinguished that.
Fire Chief Jimmy Walker said the vacant home suffered extensive damage, and Bomb and Arson investigators are working to determine the cause.
