The National Weather Service is issuing severe weather warnings on Thursday. Follow along with KSHB 41 News for live updates.
3:20 p.m. | A flash flood warning was issued by the NWS in Cass, Jackson, Lafayette and Ray counties in Missouri until 6:15 p.m.
The NWS says there has been nearly 2 inches of rainfall in the last two hours in the flood-warned area. Additional rainfall is coming in the next few hours.
10:40 a.m. | The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for southeast Miami County.
The warning is in place until 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Radars indicate that between 1-3 inches of rain have fallen in the area, with 0.5-1 additional inches possible.
NWS says flash flooding is ongoing or is expected to begin shortly in small creeks, streams, urban areas, roadways and other areas with poor drainage.
