KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There won't be any trick-or-treaters at Oak Park Mall again this year.

For the second year in a row, the popular shopping destination will not be hosting the Halloween event.

"We encourage our littlest shoppers to trick-or-treat safely in their own neighborhoods," mall officials wrote on Facebook.

The mall started canceling planned events in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
