Police investigate store robbery in Olathe

The Olathe Police Department is investigating a robbery at a Dollar General on Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the 100 block of North Clairborne Road around 10:30 a.m. 

The store clerk told police the suspect paid for an item and then grabbed the cash drawer when the register opened. 

The suspect is described as a black man who wore all black clothing, a black stocking cap and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. The clothing was later found by officers.

He left the store in a small, white pickup two-door truck and an undetermined amount of money, local authorities said.

There were no injuries reported.
