A KCFD firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after debris struck his neck while battling a house fire in Kansas City, Missouri.
Crews were called to the scene at 3516 Indiana Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Officials say the fire started in the first floor of the abandoned home before spreading to the basement and upstairs. No one was believed to be in the home at the time of the fire.
All the flames have been extinguished at this time.
According to the battalion chief, arson could have started the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
