KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 37-year-old Olathe man is accused of multiple sex crimes involving a teenage girl, according to court records.
Jeremy Prue was charged this month in Johnson County with aggravated indecent liberties, sodomy, sexual exploitation of a child, and indecent liberties with a child.
According to charging documents, Prue worked with the girl, then 15, at a business in Spring Hill in 2018. The two began messaging each other on Facebook and Snapchat and sharing sexually explicit photos with each other.
The messages continued on social media through April 2019, and the girl told authorities that she and Prue met in person three times. They met at Prue’s home at least twice, where they engaged in sexual acts. The alleged incidents occurred between December 2018 and May 2019, according to court records.
The girl said that Prue knew how old she was and that she was in high school. She said she felt “blackmailed” by Prue because he said that he would tell her parents she used marijuana if she didn’t do what he asked, according to charging documents.
Prue told detectives that he exchanged nude photos with the girl and that they had in-person meetings. He said he did not know her age and believed she was in college, according to documents.
Bond for Prue was set at $100,000.
