The University of Missouri-Kansas City confirms that one case of mumps has been reported on campus.
The school said the student was diagnosed by a private physician on Tuesday. The student is on home rest until he or she is fully recovered.
In a statement, UMKC said this is the first case reported on campus this academic year. It also asked to contact the Student Health Center if they have any questions.
