KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man died Sunday from a gunshot wound at the Brougham Estates apartments in Kansas City, Kansas.
KCK police were called to the scene of a shooting shortly before 12:30 p.m. near North 73rd Terrace and Troup Avenue, just south of Parallel Parkway and a few blocks west of College Parkway.
Initially, police considered the victim’s injuries to be possibly life-threatening but expected him to survive. Several hours later KCK Police Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted that the victim died at the hospital.
On Monday, KCK police identified the victim as Oune Somsanith, 45, of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
