KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A FedEx driver died in a fiery semi-truck crash that shut down Kansas 10 in both directions early Wednesday.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report, the semi was heading northbound on Kansas 7 around 4 a.m. when it drove off the roadway, rolled over the guardrail and landed on Kansas 10, catching on fire.
The semi, driven by 24-year-old Christian Harris of Liberty, also struck another vehicle traveling westbound on K-10.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash shut down K-10 for several hours. The southbound lanes of K-7 to eastbound K-10 reopened around 11:30 a.m.

The tractor belonged to a private contractor, while the trailer belonged to FedEx, according to the highway patrol.
In a statement, FedEx said it sent its "deepest condolences" to Harris' family.
“First and foremost, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of the team member involved in this accident," the statement read. "Safety is our highest priority and we are cooperating fully with the investigating authorities at this time.”
The driver of the other vehicle, also a semi, was not injured, according to the highway patrol.
