KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Serious injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 435 near 87th Street in Lenexa.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said two semis and another vehicle were involved in the crash.
I-435 southbound was shut down at 87th Street. It did not reopen until just after 9 a.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
