KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed and another injured in a crash on I-70 eastbound near Sterling Avenue just after 12:30 Wednesday morning.
Kansas City police said a red pickup apparently stalled in the middle of I-70, and was rear-ended by another car.
The driver of the pickup was killed. The driver that rear-ended the truck suffered minor injuries and was saved by their seatbelt.
Two other trailing cars hit debris from the crash, but those drivers were not injured.
