KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man was killed and a woman suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 49 near Rich Hill early Wednesday morning.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said just after 2:30 a.m., James Beckman, 43, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, was driving a 1992 Ford Fiesta when he crossed the center line and struck the vehicle of Jennifer Young, 36, of Rich Hill head on.
Beckman was killed in the crash.
Young, driving a 2003 Ford Escort suffered serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
