KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died in a motorcycle crash about 7:30 Tuesday night at West 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue just west of downtown Kansas City.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling west on West 14th Street at a high rate of speed.
The driver missed the curve and hit a curb, police said.
The motorcycle hit the east corner of a bridge, a chain link fence, crossed the road and hit the bridge and fence on the west side, according to police.
The motorcycle caught fire.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The victim's name has not been released.
