ORIGINAL STORY | A traffic crash killed a woman Sunday afternoon at North Chouteau Trafficway and Front Street in KCMO.
The crash, just after 4 p.m, involved a tractor trailer and a BMW, police said.
A Kansas City, Missouri, police officer tried to pull over the BMW just before the crash, according to Sgt. Bill Mahoney of the department's Accident Investigation Unit.
The BMW did not stop and the officer quickly turned off his lights and siren.
The driver of the BMW continued north on Chouteau Traffiway.
A tractor trailer traveling east on Front Street collided with the BMW at the intersection of Front Street and North Chouteau Trafficway, Mahoney said.
The collision killed the woman driving the BMW.
Police said she was a 37-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, woman.
Her name has not been released.
A female passenger in the car and the truck driver suffered non life-threatening injuries.
