KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was transported to an area hospital after trying to escape a house fire early Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the single-family residence about 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of 29th and Victor streets in Kansas City, Missouri.
Fire officials say one person was injured trying to escape the blaze and was transported to an area hospital.
Several pets did not make it out of the home.
The cause is under investigation.
