KANSAS CITY, Mo. — From shark diving to museums, One Tank Trips has taken local fun to a whole new level.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, 41 Action News decided to help the Kansas City community find things to do around the area that would help get people out of the house with just one tank of gas.
The first trip was to the Wild Animal Safari, where traffic anchor Daisha Jones got acquainted with some furry friends and showed us how we can interact with animals from the comfort of our vehicles.
We then brought you some bone-chilling fun for those who like haunted experiences at the Pythian Castle.
From there, we showed you historic museums, local businesses that offer fun you may not have considered before, and some outdoor activities.
41 Action News also introduced the shark diving experience at Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, Missouri.
Horseback riding, candle making, zip lining, kayaking, rock climbing, and goat yoga were also featured this year.
Some of Daisha's most memorable moments came not just from the adventures, but from the community.
She learned that a lot of local business offer more than just your average apple picking or aerial arts lesson, but also memories that will last you and your family a lifetime.
The first One Tank Trips segment aired June 5, and since then 41 Action News has brought you 30 trips that we hope inspired you to get out and have some fun.
