LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. — At Embers Candle Bar in Lee's Summit, you can create your own candle from scratch.
First, you start by picking your jar. There are different sizes and designs which determine the price of your candle. Prices range from $16 to $40.
Next, you pick your scent. Embers Candle Bar offers 84 different smells for you to mix and combine to your liking, creating your very own blend.
You can also customize a label to place on the bottom of your candle.
After you pour your custom scent into the hot wax, you mix it together and, "wallah!"
Depending on the size of the candle, it will take between one to two hours to set before it's ready to take home.
While you wait, you can grab food at Third Street Social, or coffee at Neighborhood Cafe, located next door.
Embers Candle Bar allows all ages to participate, and they even host groups and parties.
They are operating by appointment only due to current COVID-19 guidelines and regulations. The shop is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but open noon to 6 p.m. for the rest of the week.
