KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Overland Park, Kansas-based Shamrock Trading Corporation said Tuesday they’re expanding, a plan that could add 1,000 new jobs to the city.

Shamrock – currently based in a pair of office towers at the northwest corner of the intersection of 95th and Metcalf – recentlypurchased the old “French Market” space across Metcalf to the east.

It’s there where company officials joined Kansas Gov. Jeff Coyler and Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach in making the announcement.

“This is incredible news for both Overland Park and the entire state of Kansas,” said Gov. Colyer in a release. “These are high-quality jobs with an average salary of $56,000, and will provide great-paying career opportunities for over 1000 Kansans.
