KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Preliminary plans for an Overland Park Whataburger include demolishing an existing building at the Overland Pointe Marketplace and building a new 3,751 square-foot building with a double drive-thru.
The Overland Park Planning Commission is expected to vote on the plan during its meeting Monday.
Initial development plans for the burger joint, which would be on the site of the former Salty Iguana, were submitted in October.
Whataburger announced in August that it will be building 35 new restaurants in 2021 in three states, including Missouri and Kansas.
The full development plan can be viewed on the City of Overland Park website.
