Crews called for more backup when they thought people might be trapped inside the unit. The situation was eventually downgraded back to a one-alarm fire when they made sure no one was inside.
The unit was empty, but the surrounding units had occupants. Everyone got out safely with no injuries.
Bomb and arson investigators say someone may have set the fire on purpose.
The investigation is ongoing.
