KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 75-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on the Country Club Plaza in June, police said.
Mohamed Ouddali died on June 28 from injuries he sustained in a crash more than a week earlier. Kansas City, Missouri, police reported his death on Friday, saying they had only recently been notified of his passing.
According to police, Ouddali was crossing 47th Street mid-block and stepped in front of a vehicle driving westbound around 5:45 p.m. on June 19.
He was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries and later died.
Police said his death was the 66th traffic-related fatality in Kansas City, Missouri, so far this year, compared with 44 deaths at this time last year.
