Pedestrian hit by tractor trailer Friday night in Kansas City, Missouri

UPDATE, JULY 17 |

EARLIER | Police say a blue Kenworth semi-truck was stopped at a red light at the bottom of the westbound exit ramp from I-70, at Van Brunt. When the light turned green the Kenworth pulled forward, but the driver did not see an orange Tao motorbike traveling north in lane #3 of northbound Van Brunt. The Kenworth ran over and dragged the driver of the Tao a short distance. The driver of the Tao was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.

A tractor trailer struck a pedestrian Friday night in Kansas City, Missouri.

The accident happened about 9 p.m. on the exit ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to Van Brunt Boulevard.

There's no information at this time about the victim's condition.
