KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died after a hit-and-run Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.
The incident happened near East 103rd Terrace and Blue Ridge Boulevard.
Police said the pedestrian was crossing Blue Ridge Boulevard from west to east.
The pedestrian was in the middle of the southbound lanes of Blue Ridge Boulevard when he was struck by at least one vehicle, according to police.
Authorities said the unknown vehicle(s) left the scene without stopping and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers blocked off the north and southbound lanes of 103rd Terrace while crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
