KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian died in a crash on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County, Kansas Highway Patrol said.
According to the crash report, a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox was heading west near mile-marker 415.8 around 11:20 p.m. Thursday.
The pedestrian had been attempting to cross the interstate to the north from the median when the Equinox struck him.
The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Vernon Alvin Long of Kansas City, Kansas.
