Pedestrian struck by car on Winner Road

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Winner Road near Booth Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, Saturday night.

According to police, a Honda Civic was traveling west on Winner Road when it struck the pedestrian around 9:20 p.m.

That driver told police that something hit his windshield out of nowhere and he stopped and realized it was a person.

A witness told police the driver of the Honda was not speeding and that she saw the car hit its breaks suddenly and a person came flying out from under the car. She said she never saw where the pedestrian came from, according to KCPD.

The pedestrian was seriously injured in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Honda received minor cuts from windshield glass.
