PetSmart is voluntarily recalling a one-production lot of its Grreat Choice Adult Dog Food, the pet store announced on Feb. 9.
According to PetSmart, the food may contain metal contamination that could be a choking hazard to pets. The recall affects the 13.2 oz. cans of the Grreat Choice Adult Dog Food with Chicken & Rice Classic Ground (UPC: 7-3725726116-7).
The dog food was sold on PetSmart.com, Pet360.com, PetFoodDirect.com and in nationwide PetSmart retail stores between Oct. 10, 2016 and Feb. 7, 2017.
Customers who purchased the product should stop feeding their pets and bring remaining cans to their local PetSmart store for a full refund or exchange.
