KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A police chase Saturday night ended in a fatal crash, when the suspect crashed into another vehicle, killing the driver.
Just before 9:30, officers observed a gray Toyota Tacoma truck involved in an Aggravated Assault.
The officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused.
A pursuit was initiated.
They Toyota was westbound on Smart Avenue.
A silver Chevy Impala was southbound on Monroe.
The Toyota failed to stop, and crashed in the driver's door of the Chevy.
The Chevy was pushed to rock retaining wall at 400 Monroe.
The driver and sole occupant of the Chevy was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota was not injured, and taken into custody at the scene.
