Police are investigating a fatal crash near the entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 49 from 58 Highway in Belton, Missouri.
Officers responded to a single-car accident across the street from the Belton Regional Medical Center around midnight Tuesday.

Authorities say 23-year-old Grant White of Kansas City was behind the wheel when his vehicle traveled down the embankment from the northbound entrance ramp, rolled several times, and then caught fire.

White was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene by officials.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
