KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police officers in Kansas City, Kansas, are investigating a shooting which they say killed one man and injured a woman.
In a press release, the department said officers responded to the 7200 block of Berger Avenue at about 1:20 a.m. Friday to check out reports of a shooting. The release goes on to say responding officers found a man and woman in a car with gunshot wounds.
Medical staff from the KCK fire department declared the man dead and took the woman to a hospital. She is expected to survive.
Police have not released any information about a suspect, nor confirmed whether a person of interest is in custody.
Crime scene technicians used a scanner to record a 3-dimensional picture of the crime scene.
