UPDATE, 10:50PM | Law enforcement says they have cleared the threat and operations are returning to normal at Terminal B.

EARLIER | Law enforcement have blocked access to part of the terminal at Kansas City International Airport in response to a bomb threat.

Airport spokesman Joe McBride said the threat forced an evacuation for portions of Terminal B, and law enforcement officers are investigating a suspicious package.

The access road to the terminal is completely shut down.

Kansas City, Missouri Police confirm they dispatched the department's bomb and arson unit to the airport after 9 p.m.

McBride said incoming flights scheduled to land at blocked-off gates will shift to other locations at the airport, and passengers on those flights will not experience major disruptions.

This is a developing story.
