A reported disturbance lead to a police standoff and forced entry at a local business Friday night.
Police were called to the Dollar General store at 5501 East Truman road about 10:15 Friday night in regards to a disturbance.
When officers arrived the doors were locked, but they could see movement inside.
Officers were then told two employees were being held against their will.
Police forced entry into the store and escorted the employees out to safety.
Crews then began a search of the building.
After interviewing the employees it was learned they never actually saw anyone in the business. They heard noises and locked themselves in the office thinking someone was trying to rob them.
Police found no evidence of anyone else inside the business.
