KANSAS CITY, Mo. — President Donald Trump said Thursday the Kansas City Chiefs, Super Bowl LIV Champions, will soon visit the White House.
The president made the statement during remarks he gave following the U.S. Senate’s impeachment acquittal.
“By the way, your Super Bowl champions are coming, I think next week or soon, very soon. Every one of them want to be here and the coach loves us," Trump said. "The coach is great. Andy Reid and every one of them want to be here."
According to NBC Sports Washington, head coach Andy Reid said he would visit the White House if an invitation was extended.
The Chiefs told 41 Action News nothing about a visit is confirmed yet.
None of the players have issued statements. In the past, some professional athletes have refused the White House visit.
