Pumpkin Hollow offers family fun, fall activities in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.Pumpkin Hollow at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead in Overland park opens Friday through the end of October, offering families and children a variety of activities perfect for the autumn season.

Activities include:

  • Climb a hay pyramid
  • Slide down a giant hay slide
  • Ride the Pumpkin Hollow Express barrel train
  • Dive into corn takes
  • Explore a corn stalk tunnel

And of course, kids can pick their own pumpkin to take home at the end of it all.

 

This marks the 19th year for Pumpkin Hollow. Children under the age of one can get in for free. The general admission for everyone else is $8 plus a $2 farmstead general admission fee.

 

Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead was established back in 1978 to connect visitors with the history and heritage of the early 20th century in Kansas. All proceeds from Pumpkin Hollow go back into Farmstead to help develop and enrich it.

 

The Pumpkin Hallow is open at 10 a.m. all days of the week. Monday through Friday, it closes at 3:00 p.m., then at 4 p.m. on the weekends.

The last day to visit the Farmstead and Pumpkin Hollow this year is October 31st.
