KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Dallas reporter wore a 1971 L.A. Rams uniform to Super Bowl media night Monday like the one worn by Andy Reid in 1971.

Dallas reporter Dan McDowell from KTCK, The Ticket Sports Radio station, showed up at Marlins Park in the same gear worn by the Chiefs coach nearly 50 years ago.

"My dad was a big Andy Reid fan and we followed his career from Philly to KC,'' McDowell told 41 Action News Sports Director Mick Shaffer.

McDowell said he even asked Coach Reid a question during the media session.

Reid competed in a 1971 Punt, Pass & Kick competition on a Monday Night Football game at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Reid wore jersey No. 34 and his last name was misspelled when he took his turn passing the football.

The name that night was spelled "Ried.''

The coach's name, as any Chiefs fan knows, is spelled Reid.
