People living in Independence say they've been finding used needles in some of their neighborhoods.
Last week, Chrissy Branscum found four used needles in her front yard. She says she doesn't let her small grandchildren play outside anymore because of it.
Down the street from Branscum another woman who didn't want to be identified posted on Facebook finding about five used needles.
Branscum says the community needs to come together to fight drug use. She also says it is important to stop this because the needles are being found near schools and bus stops.
