KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Customers who use the RideKC may see a delay in services on Friday due to anticipated inclement weather.

On Thursday, The National Weather Service extended a winter storm warning to include the Kansas City metro area.

RideKC said it may start services late depending on the severity of road conditions.

“RideKC will always put the safety of our employees and the public first in making decisions related to inclement weather,” Robbie Makinen, KCATA president and CEO, said. “We know that even on New Year’s Day some people must get to work or make other essential trips. Delaying the start of service or possibly suspending service is always a last option.”

The service will run on the Sunday schedule due to the New Year's Day holiday. A final decision on whether to start services late will be made Friday at 6 a.m.
