KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Emergency Operations Center issued a winter weather advisory that will be in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.
Freezing drizzle is expected this afternoon into the evening, along with up to 1" of snow and accumulating ice. The advisory was issued for areas in east central and northeast Kansas and northwest and west central Missouri.
Earlier today, many neighborhoods and side streets still had snow and ice on them from the weekend's storm.
Road crews worked overnight and into the morning to try to clear roads, including putting salt down.
Another storm is expected this week.
