Royals Charities 50/50 raffle to benefit SAFE in honor of fallen WyCo deputies

Posted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Proceeds from the Royals Charities 50/50 Raffle during the Wednesday, June 20 game will go to SAFE in honor of the two Wyandotte County sheriff’s deputies who died in the line of duty last Friday.

SAFE is the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission’s Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund. The organization gives $25,000 checks to Kansas City area families of first responders who were killed in the line of duty. The Royals said the check is given within 24 hours, and the organization continues to support families by checking with them later and assisting with any other financial needs.

If you can’t attend the game but want to donate, you can go to www.royals.com/donate and select “In Memory Of,” and enter “First Responders.” The donation will be applied to the overall funding for SAFE.
