MERRIAM, Kan. — Valentine's Day is always a busy one for Russell Stover.
Christi Jones with Russell Stovers said the store in Merriam, Kansas has seen several customers come in this week, many asking for their specialty chocolate-covered strawberries.
"We work with strawberry growers months in advance of the holiday to get the perfect, most ripe strawberries that are the perfect size, and beautiful and then we bring them into the store early, early in the morning," Jones said. "We're here dipping. We temper the chocolate and then we dip and dip and dip ."
The four area stores dip about 30,000 berries the week of Valentine's Day.
